You're unable to download McAfee software from Protection Center using Chrome

When you try to download a McAfee app on your PC using the Google Chrome browser, the McAfee installation file doesn’t download. 

Clear the browsing data and restart Google Chrome

You can fix this issue by clearing your browsing data. 

Here's how:

1. Open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click the More icon.
3. Click Clear browsing data.
4. Choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
5. Select the Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files checkboxes.
6. Click Clear data.
7. Close and then reopen Chrome.

You can then download the McAfee app from McAfee Protection Center.

NOTES:

• If the above workaround doesn’t fix the issue, follow the steps to update Google Chrome.
• If you still can’t download McAfee software after you clear your browsing data and update Chrome, try another browser such as, Edge or Firefox.
